Blue Ribbon Flooring Co, Inc was founded in 1989 by David Smith. Before starting the company, David worked for his father, Merle B. Smith, at his wholesale flooring distribution company in Burr Ridge, Illinois. During his time there, David excelled in learning the business and later applied his experience when he moved to Wisconsin and founded Blue Ribbon Flooring.

Once settled in Wisconsin, David continued to grow Blue Ribbon Flooring. Our vice president, Ryan Kingley, was hired in 2000 and started out in our delivery department. Throughout the years, Ryan has moved up within the company and now serves as our vice president and runs all operations in the office.

David's son, David Jr., came back to work for the company in early 2023. David Jr. had previously worked for the company throughout his time in high school and college and now serves as our general sales manager and delivery specialist, ensuring each delivery is executed with efficiency and professionalism.
